In the summer of 2013, I volunteered to be a part of Give Camp Las Vegas, a weekend hack-a-thon that brings technology and marketing professionals together who donate their time and talents to build software solutions for local nonprofits from apps to databases and donor management tools to web sites (source). Through Give Camp, I was connected to Project AngelFaces, a local charity run by the spirited Rhonda Killough. Our team set out to provide technology support for PAF along with a fresh new look for the organization.
In collaboration with Lucky Girl Designs and Rhonda K, I created this logo refresh and style guide for Project AngelFaces.
As you’ll see in the images, we went through several versions of the logo concepts to arrive at something in keeping with the original logo design. With a similar typographical layout, we simply created a more grown up and sophisticated look. Clean, contemporary, but still warm and inviting, the type treatment utilizes all the typefaces the organization requested throughout the process, as well as the newly coined tagline and updated brand colors.
